Bundle of Nerves
May 28, 2009 · 14 Comments
The big ultrasound is tomorrow. I pray that everything is okay with our little one but have also come to terms with whatever blessing we receive. Our concerns are the normal parents-to-be ones, centered around Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Klinefelter Syndrome, and other genetic disorders. We declined any of the first-trimester screening tests, for we did not want to be faced with the difficult decision. The heartbeat has been normal during the past OB visits but until we hear thump thump thump on the fetal doppler, we always think of the what-ifs in between each appointment. Rumor has it that the worry does not cease once a child is born so I relish in the fact that our concerns are perfectly normal and expected of first time parents-to-be. Despite the worry, we’re really starting to get excited….we’re finding out the sex! What do you think our little one is? Answer the poll and check back tomorrow for the answer.

Stay Thirsty My Friends

My betrothed is currently obsessed with The Most Interesting Man in the World, courtesy of Dos Equis. Yes, he has a man crush. If I am talking, Clay orders, “silencio” when he appears on television and watches as the latin Chuck Norris dispenses advice for those wishing to be the most interesting man in the world. I admit, I get a kick out of the advertisements as well but much to my dismay, I end up wanting an ice cold Dos Equis.
